Our in-house training programs (your dog stays with us for the duration of the training program, but you work with them and your dog throughout his/her stay here) are individually tailored to your needs and the personality of your dog. As the owner/trainer of Webshire Kennels since 1982, Brian Hartfield has trained and built the foundation for numerous dogs who have become Field Champions, Master Hunters and, of course, beloved family members. Brian believes in training the dog as an individual, not just a breed. His training philosophy is to reward efforts made by the student while tailoring the approach in training to each dog’s unique personality. There is no “cookie-cutter” approach to this style of training, which allows dogs of all breeds to succeed through the Webshire training program. The high standards that Brian has always set for Webshire and it’s customers have been proven many times over by the consistent level of quality and success that has been achieved.
Lisa Hartfield comes to Webshire Kennels from Winona, Minnesota. Lisa graduated with a Business degree from Winona State University, by way of teaching dog obedience classes and working with a local gun dog trainer. Growing up as the daughter of a veterinarian, her love for dogs began very early, and her interests now range from nutrition to competitive obedience. She especially enjoys working with puppies and is very proud of the breeding program that she and Brian have developed. Lisa’s long history of devotion and concern for the dogs in her care, along with Brian’s knowledge and experience in dog training, fit perfectly to provide Webshire customers with expert professional services.
Brian and Lisa understand the dogs entering their programs are not just working dogs, but are beloved pets and members of your family and will be treated just as they treat their own.
