It’s always exciting injecting old genetics into our modern-day pedigrees. Fridge is the product of frozen semen that links back not only to popular field trial Goldens of the 1980’s and 90’s, but also old-fashioned, classic genetics that re-introduce the historical Kinike and Stilrovin lines. Fridge was run to his Junior Hunter title for fun by our then 7 year old daughter. The choice was made to take some time in his development instead of rushing straight into Master stakes as Fridge needed to mature a bit before exposing him to the excitement of the game at a Master level. So, in the summer of 2015, Fridge went 4 for 4 in the Senior and picked up 3 Master legs at summers end. He came out of the box strong the following spring and not only quickly finished up his Master Hunter title, but also qualified for AND was a finalist at the 2016 AKC Master National in St. Louis as well as the 2019 AKC Master National in South Carolina.
Fridge’s intensity for retrieving is so cool to watch. He absolutely LIVES for the sport. He is as focused and sincere in his efforts in water as he is on land, and he has a very honest approach to his work. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented Goldens we’ve had the pleasure of owning and working with.
Fridge has been bred on a limited basis, but his young get are showing the same tenacity and love for their work as their daddy. We are excited to watch them all as they grow!
